Special birthday gift

Recently on my birthday I received a special gift from my sister in-law Roxanne. She pulled two dollars out of her wallet that she wanted me to have. It was first given to my mother in-law Ann for her birthday Dec 2004 by Roxanne's daughter Alicia 10 years old. My mother in-law thought it was so sweet That she tucked it away deep in her wallet. Then on mother's day 2005 She gave it back to Roxanne. Roxanne tucked it away deep in her wallet. She decided it was not the value of the two dollars the meant anything it was the thought. I special gift from a child from her heart. So, On my birthday July 2005 Roxanne passed along the two dollars to me. I tucked it away deep in my wallet.
I just today passed on the special gift to my step daughter Samantha for her 17th birthday. I hope to keep the gift going within the family. All from a sweet little girl.

My brother lives in Saudi, and it is dangerous. His wife Ali and I are trying to help him find work here , so he can come home. This bullet scare was not the only thing that has happened to him since he has been there. Some people think the $$$$ is worth it , but, it is not.

My biggest fears

I've begun to realize my fears. Sometimes , not all the time, I dislike certain people. Them being Old people, Fat people and stupid people. It bothers me that I look down on them. So, I started to some digging into my own mine. It's not that I dislike these people . It's that I have a fear of being like them. I've always had a fear of acting stupid, being stupid and saying stupid things. Then I am getting old and that scares me . And then the fat thing has been an issue for me since I was a teenager. So, it goes to say that the things people don't like about you are the things they fear the most in themselves. Huh? Two of my fears I have control over . I don't have to get fat and and I might get old but I don't have to act old. Stupid comes and goes with us all. Does this make any sense to anyone ?

Dog days of summer

So, it is 104 degrees outside. Hot Hot Hot... I'm sitting in my nice air conditioned house. Looking out the front window watching our neighbor mow the lawn. Now, you all know that when it is hotter than hell out you do not mow at 3 in the afternoon, That's just crazy. I prefer cold weather myself. You can always put on more layers to warm up, But when it is hot you can take it all off and still be hot.

I need to go back to work

I am missing work. I worked at the Mustin Beach Officer's club for 23 years. Hurricane Ivan took that away from me. I felt like I lost a life. Now 10 months later they are finally going to get started with the repairs. They say it will be back and running by Jan 1st 2006. It was a beautiful place on the water. I hope they try to keep it s it was.

I just got home from shopping at the commissary. Whew ! The place was crowded. Well, yesterday was Military payday. The 1st and the 15th. So, I should have known better. You know I have better things to do than to spend 3 hours shopping there on a Saturday. So, like others I tend to be in a hurry. Let's "Get er Done ". But, with the many retireree's in the area; Who are Old !!! You must try to be slow and patient, And still that is not slow enough.When I get older I will make a point to remember when I was younger and quicker. I promise not to snare at growl at make huffy comments at younger people who want to move ahead.
I do try to entertain myself while shopping for the most part. I'll stop in a store and say Hi and make Goo Goo eyes to little kids and babies. But, just not today. I'm just PMS ing. That's all

I'm Bored

I'm sitting at home watching soaps.... I'm bored.... I need to go back to work full time. Whoo Hoo... Bret is home .. Just walked in. He was over in Biloxi. Now we can be bored together. Fun Fun. It is raining out and it is nasty.There are alot of household things I could get started on. But, I just don't feel like it

Lucky just proposed to Elizabeth. That wedding won't happen. Not a chance. And is Carly a fraud ? Did she steal Reese's identity ? Things to ponder while you are bored

Sammy Jo

Sammy Jo is my 16 year old step daughter. She bought her prom Dress for her senior year in Dallas. She was hoping to get something that would not be found in Detroit where she lives. Anyway, I think she was successful.

FYI .... Dennis was a dud Thank God,..We were spared and all is well.

Happy Birthday to me

It's my Birthday. Whoo Hoo.. I'm a young 47 years of age. I'm in Dallas at my father in law's house. They had a cake for me at breakfast. I was not expecting it. It was a nice surprise. We are having a good time. Cassandra ansd Samantha are here from Detriot too. Nice family get together. more later.
