Someone pinch me !!

Friday, June 30th will be my last day with MWR. I will start work with Sodexho on Monday July 3rd. Happy Birthday ........ I will start by ordering liquor and beer and bar supplies. We want to have an unannounced Happy Hour Friday the 7th...
Today I celebrate, So, much for my 30 days....Ya, I'm Happy :)

I can guess that this carpet will have to get cleaned alot, cuz of alot of draft beer being spilled on it. Oh well, that won't be my job ...........

I worked at the O'club !

I went back to the O'club for the first time since Ivan ..1 year and 9 months later... I was smiling so much my face hurt. I worked a social for MWR big guys. An announcement was made in my honor and I was toasted with my very own O'club grand reopening wine. I felt so at home .....It was wonderful... ! It should be sometime in July when I get back there permanent...
All is good.....:)

The placebo effect

Well, It is day 7. I'm quite pleased with myself.. My urge to have a drink has not totally diminished, but, I',m not going to die without one. I had an interesting thing happen to me this weekend. I bought some alcohol free beer ( O'douls Amber, which is quite good ). And I was thirsty, I opened one and took a big gulp of it . My brain said, hmmmmmm BEER good!!! Wow, I actually got a buzz... It was a placebo thing..,, My brain reacted to the taste of the beer! It kinda scared me at first... Wow, a fake buzz.......Unfortunately it did not happen again after that. My brain said, No, you can't fool me again...

Dear Father Joe,

Father Joe, I have missed you.. It's been awhile. I'll have to make a point to track you down soon. How is Biloxi doing ? Have you found a new place to call your own or are you still staying upstairs at your church ? Anyway, I just got done working out , I rode my exercise bike 16.6 miles in 60 minutes. My goal is to reach 20 miles in 60 minutes. I feel great ! I don't understand why some people do not like working out ? Becuz, it is a natual high and good for you...
Also, I'm on the wagon, Ya, Since Ivan and not working very much, I took up drinking a bit more than I should have. But, I must say that it was probally not that bad, becuz, after five days now I have not suffered any adverse withdrawal symtoms. I think my cocktails in the evening had become more of a habit than anything else. So, I'm going for 30 days alcohol free..... Then we'll see how it goes after that.

My Baby Girl is Home !

My daughter is home, after living away for four years. I missed her allot. But, now I'm going to miss visiting her . I really liked going to different places to watch her row. She was on the Crew team at FIT. She went to many NCAA competitions.

This picture was taken at her last trip to the Dad Vail comp in Philly. We ate at nice little Italian restaurant in downtown Philly.

She loves to row but, there re not any rowing clubs here nor good paying jobs in her field of computer science. so, I think that she'll end up moving away again. She says she wants to move back to South Florida, That's ok with me , cuz I liked going to visit her down there.

Anyway, for now I'll just enjoy her being around
