New Orleans

The Memorial was nice for grandma Leta. Lots of family in attendance. Uncle Tommy performed the service He is Grandma Leta's brother.
So, then it was time for little Leta to let her hair down and have some fun. We went to a nice restaurant for some grilled oysters and cocktails. Dahl was there and Cindy, cousin Star and other friends.
I had a good time with them. Leta is not my x sister in law I think of her as my sister. Kristin and I will have to stop by to see her in New Orleans on our way back from La

I broke a fingernail

Bret and I were supposed to be in New Orleans for grand Ma Leta's memorial service; but, we got diverted half way there by Bret's boss Gary ' to go Atlanta instead. Oh Well such is life. So, I broke a nail and I needed a nail repair. Someone at the hotel told me to walk down about three blocks. OK, so I headed down about 10 blocks to find only a Freddies barber shop with bars on the windows and doors. I walked in to find Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryer and maybe Chris Rock. Ok Guys where is there a nail salon ? I asked. It is quite away down the road and we suggest you not walk there alone. Hmmmmmm. Ok I'm going back to the hotel; I'll keep my broken nail for now.So, I sit watching the soaps for now till Bret gets back. Fun Fun

Driving my daughter's car

I traded my SUV with my daughter while she does her internship out in LA. So, I've been driving her mustang. I'm considering keeping it. The attention that I've been getting out on the road is quite flattering. A couple of guys missed their green light while oggleling me. I never got this much attention in my Rodeo.
Anyway, also at Walmart yesterday I looked all over for my Rodeo until I realized Oops , I have the mustang. So, Kristin , I guess I was just kidding about keeping the Mustang . Sorry,

Leta Jane Brotherton

My daughter's grandma on her Dad's side died this morning at around 11:30 AM. She had a heart attack and kidney and liver failure. She will be missed.
Kristin, You have another Angel to watch over you. She is in a better place. We will pray for the family to find comfort in knowing she is well.

My little girl Kristin is all growing up and stuff,,, I had a dream the other night that she was a baby again. I remember that I loved holding her and keeping her safe. She was the Joy of my Life and she still is. Kristin' You know I want the very best for you and I wish you well on following all your dreams. Have fun in La. I will still call about every other day. SORRY !!!! I got to know how you are and what kind of exciting things are going on. Bret and I saw your web site on My Space .com ???? It was a feature on The Attack of the Show.

Back to reality

Home sweet home. I had a wonderful trip to LA with my daughter Kristin. It turned out out better than her and I ever expected. She loves her internship with G4 television and she loves her new Mom Laura. Laura is wonderful. Her and I got along great. Last monday we hung out toghter while Kristin was at her first day of work. we watched soaps and drank wine and got to know on another. Laura is working on openning a Lilly Pulitzer clothing store. It should be opned sometime in October. She showed me her fall line. I wish her all the best of luck. I think it will be a success for her.
Anyway, I'm back in Pensacola and I must say it is quite hot. LA weather is divine !!!!! Thank you Mario , Sunta and Juli. You all played a big part in helping Kristin find the most wonderful place to stay. I'll be back in LA sometime in August

Sunday In LA

I'm absolutely loving LA. My daughter Kristin is so lucky....... She has her own room and bath.
She has a cool landlord; Laura. She starts her first day with G4 television tomorrow mourning at 9:30 AM. I hope it is everything she expected. It will be at great two months for her. I may have a hard time getting her to leave here in August. Anyway, We are off to see the beach in Santa Monica this afternoon. Later......

Fun In LA

Kristin and I just spent the last 4 days driving accross country. Now, if you want to know a good way to bond with your child ; just spend a few days in a car together. You will either bond or end up finding out you don't get along. I'm happy to say Kristin and I had alot of fun along the way. It was all good.
